Jesus loves you and desires to have a relationship
with you. There are a few things you need to do to share in such a blessing.

First, admit
that you are a sinner. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23) You have sinned against a Holy God. We are all liars, cheaters,
murderers and adulterers at heart. We are selfish and unloving.
Just look at any child and how even a two year old child can stomp his feet and
say "no"
Second, the
Bible says the that wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
Because we are all sinners, we deserve death and separation from God. We cannot
come to God on our own, but He loves us and so He provided a way we can restore
our relationship.

God sent His
son Jesus to die in our place.(John 3:16) Jesus is God and lived
a perfect life on earth. He
willingly was crucified on a cross and died a horrible death, so
that we could be restored back to Him. What love He has for you!
He took our horrid sins, everyone of them, and suffered. We
must repent. We must allow God to do a work in our lives.
In order for
you to have a relationship with God, you must acknowledge these 3 things He did.
Then you must accept His payment for your sins and ask forgiveness for them. Not
just saying a few words, but meaning them
(Tell God you are sorry, and ask Him to show you what you need to know.)

Place your
faith in Jesus. It is liking sitting in a chair. You can believe a chair will
hold you, but until you sit in it, you have not displayed faith. Tell Jesus you
will give Him your life, you will let him make decisions for you and trust Him
to help you.
It is an easy
act to do, but it means giving your will over to God. He will take you just as
you are and love you unconditionally and completely.
You can pray
anytime you want, you can do it alone or with others. There are no
special words, He looks at your heart. After
you do this, you need to find other believers to support and fellowship with
you. You should also read the Bible everyday and pray to God. It is how you talk
to Him, and you can't get to know Him better if you don't spend time with Him.
Ask Him to help you get to know him.
God will work in your life. If you wonder about your
salvation, the Bible tells us to examine our lives. The Bible says to continue
to believe and repent (not believe because we said a simple prayer once). We
will exhibit the work of God in our lives. Not works salvation - the evidence of
salvation!! It is impossible to have God enter into our life, to save us and not
changed. God miraculously created a new person within you. You will begin to see
His work. YOU WILL CHANGE! You will begin to have the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
It isn't
a bunch of rules and regulations.... It is an ongoing love relationship
with an incredible God that knows you completely
and loves you unconditionally
and wants the very best for your life.
